The invisible drummer was originally made famous by Rowan Atkinson’s Character, Mr Bean. We thought it would be fun to include a sketch of the invisible drummer on this website!
The invisible drummer sketch, made famous in the Mr Bean live show, begins with Mr Bean sweeping the floor, where he stumbles accross a drum kit that nobody else can see. He then proceeds to play a beat, sounding like it is played on a full drum kit. The invisible drummer sketch is also kept amusing, with Mr Bean hitting various things with his invisible drum sticks, such as a cat.
The invisible drummer sketch has been used again and kept popular. Acts such as Lee Evans also have parts in their live stand up show in the style of the invisible drummer. The invisible drummer by Lee Evans (or Lee Evans Trio as it is known in the show) also includes other inivisble instruments, such as the piano.
Both Lee Evans and Mr Bean Performances as the invisible drummer though, only involve themselves and a chair on stage, it is the impeccable timing they have that keeps The invisible drummer sketch entertaining.
